Professional Profile
Dr. Gopal Lal serves as the President of a-IDEA and the Director of ICAR-NAARM (since June 2025). With a distinguished career spanning decades, he has held pivotal roles including Joint Director at ICAR-NAARM, Director at ICAR-NRC on Seed Spices, Ajmer, and Principal Scientist.
His extensive academic journey began as an Assistant Professor at RAU (1996) and includes senior scientific positions at ICAR-CAZRI. He also serves as a Member (Ag.) of the Cauvery Water Management Authority, New Delhi.
Educational Impact
Dr. Lal has guided 13 M.Sc and Ph.D. students and taught multiple courses on Horticultural aspects, contributing significantly to the academic growth of the agricultural sector.
